30 Things: Where to go to feel better

Here at sometimessheblogs, Wednesdays are for commenting on this list. So let’s get it started.

Number 23 on the list of things I should know before I’m 30:

Where to go — be it your best friend’s kitchen table or a yoga mat — when your soul needs soothing.

Definitely something that a 30 year old should know.  Emotional and Spiritual Maturity (and I’m assuming that 30 = a mature adult, and that’s kind of the point of this list, no?) involves knowing how to deal when you’re anxious, upset, or unhappy.

I don’t have a specific place that I go.  I typically spend time in prayer and/or I talk with The Guns or another close friend.  And I’m blessed to have friends and a husband who will listen to me and let me talk it through.  The main thing is, I know I when I need to do something to “soothe my soul” as the list puts it.  And I do it.

Where do you go in situations like these?
