I haven’t posted in over a week. I know, it’s terrible. But I did tell you at the beginning of the year that a break from blogging was inevitable… Therefore, I won’t be apologizing.
I’m not back to say much except a big ‘ole HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to my mom.
She’s perhaps the greatest mom in the world, in case you didn’t know. You can read last year’s Happy Birthday Mom Post and find out why. This year I’m just going to say this:
Happy Birthday Mom! You’re still awesome in all the ways I wrote about last year, and perhaps more awesome than last year. I love you so much, and hope that your day is great. I’m trying to be a good daughter by recognizing your birthday but making no reference to your age. So far I’m succeeding. That being said, age is just a number and I love you just as much as 20 years ago when I made you breakfast in bed (Dad and I did that once, right?). I may not be able to bring you breakfast in bed today, or be there for your celebration, or even go to lunch with you, but in my mind I’m there doing all those things. I hope the day is special, enjoyable, and memorable, and that you’re happy to start another year. I love you!
