I’ve skipped a few Wedding Wednesdays, so I’d like to apologize to all of you about that.
And since I’m apologizing, I’d like to apologize to everyone who had any contact with me from June 11 to August 11. I promise I’m not stupid.
For all you to-be brides, just know that at least a month (perhaps more) leading up to and following your wedding, you will come down with bridal brain.
What is bridal brain, you ask? Well, you’ll become so overwhelmed by planning and love and running from place to place and basically totally transforming your life that simple facts you should know (when you’ll be returning from your honeymoon, whether or not you have time for a shower or a meal, a good friend’s name, and, of course your fiance’s name) you just won’t know. Or you’ll say the wrong thing. Or you’ll be in a conversation about to answer a question or continue your train of thought when all of a sud
yeah, all of a sudden you just stop talking and get this blank look on your face, and people who know what you’re going through will smile, pat you on the back, and then move on. And people who don’t know what you’re going through will be really confused, and probably think you’re dumb.
I wouldn’t suggest going on a job interview during this time period.
